Jonathan Sutanto is currently graduated from Postgraduated Architecture Master program from the Städelschule Architecture Class, Frankfurt am Main with scholarship from Deutsche Akademische Austauschdienst (DAAD). In Spring 2015, his project was selected as one of the Young Art with Future "Junge Kunst mit Zukunft" which annually presented in "Nacht der Museen" by Ernst & Young, Museum für angewandte Kunst Frankfurt, Städelschule & Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach. In Summer 2015, with 6 other student from Städelschule Architecture Class, appointed to propose and contruct Städelschule's pavillion in video art exhibition "Sense of Doubt; wieder das vergessen" in Museum für angewandte Kunst Frankfurt as a collaboration between Normative Order (Goethe Universität) & Associação Cultural Videobrasil; whom are interested in cultural issues of southern hemisphere & the far east. His work and collaborations was exhibited in various international events in Germany, Indonesia, Italy and Netherland.
He decided to continue his architecture education after gaining two years of professional experience and his Bachelor of Architecture in Jakarta. He participated in modern Asian Architecture Network, a group of architects whom are interested in modern architecture and industrial heritage in Asia as central of their discourse. He is currently investigating the dynamic territory of architectural discourse and constantly re-inventing his topic between objects, architectures and cities.
